Welcome to the Yellow Phase and a return to some sort of normalcy.
Although we are in yellow, most Court Houses remain closed to the public except in emergency and limited situations. However, the Courts are open for business and are accepting the filing of documents.
My firm is opening the office on Monday, but with quite a bit of limitations. So, even though we have permission to open, we are asked to remain home and to continue to work remotely and through video conferencing. If a client must come to the office, we have the right to check his or her temperature and the only space permitted for meetings is the main conference.
Since I started working remotely, I have regularly had client consultations and meetings with video conferencing. I have mediated a case using Zoom and most recently participated in a collaborative four way meeting. I am amazed at how well everything is working. Clients appreciate the ease of the process and not having to travel to meet with me.
If you want to see how well video conferencing works, I am offering a free ½ hour Zoom consultation. Send me an email and I will make all of the arrangements.
Have a great week. Remember to social distance. Stay healthy.
